New York running speed-trap operations to catch non-essential contractors

Mind boggling. Homeowners have already been slapped with $10,000 fines. The fines for contractors are $2500 plus $1000 for each helper. An electrician was pulled over. Tell me how an electrician isn't an essential contractor. Are window installers essential contractors. I hear them advertise non-stop on the radio. No problem approving bars to serve cocktails to go. People's lives are in danger if they can't drink a Vodka Martini at 5pm.
